I enjoyed sitting on the second floor veranda with some snacks and wine after a long drive. The atmosphere was calm and a nice change from my usual hectic New York life. Breakfast was served daily, giving a good start to the day, and it was nice to find coffee available beforehand. It felt comforting to be in such a historic place.
The internet connection was not working well , a bit disappointing.

Located on the Severn River, the place offers striking views, a relaxing ambiance, and a real sense of history. Don't miss the fully furnished boathouse with free kayaks . Paddling along the tranquil river is a serene experience, though remember to bring bug spray.
Some areas are secluded, resulting in a lack of internet connection , which might frustrate tech-dependent visitors. While the remoteness adds to the charm, it may feel too disconnected for others looking for constant connectivity.

If you're a fan of classic fried fish, you're in for a treat! The local seafood is fresh and downright delicious that's hard to forget. Plus, the Washington Room we stayed in was pure elegance, and breakfast was a good way to start the day. The atmosphere of the Inn is a glorious throwback to simpler times, giving you that cozy feeling of being at home.
Now, I gotta mention, the internet connection was a bit spotty .

Staying in an intimate Colonial Revival manor house on the outskirts of a historically significant area of the Tidelands provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in history. the serene location offers beautiful green fields, a tranquil Severn River, and nearby access to sites like Yorktown and Jamestown. the rooms are beautifully decorated and the bedding is comfortable, with options like working fireplaces and walk-in closets. Breakfast is cooked to order with fresh, creative options.
The hotel's remote location requires a bit of a drive and planning to reach, but the peaceful surroundings and historical significance make up for it.

Our room was comfortable and had a spacious bathroom. The location was quiet and secluded, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The breakfast selection was good, with fresh pastries and fruit.
The staff seemed uninterested in providing any kind of customer service. We had no assistance with our luggage and were left to navigate the property on our own.

A rustic farmhouse experience with beautiful decorations and comfortable bedding. the breakfast, made to order with homemade bread and juices, was delightful. Conveniently located near historical sites, allowing easy access to many places of interest.
The rural location may not be ideal for those looking for a fast-paced vacation. the lack of nearby restaurants may require planning ahead for meals.

We had an very nice stay in a beautifully restored Colonial Revival manor house located in an historically significant area of the Tidelands. The hotel facilities were immaculate with a large and spacious room, a grand bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower, and soft and luxurious towels and robes. The location in the outlying areas next to a bay provided a quiet and wonderful place to stay and enjoy the amazing scenery. The fresh made to order breakfast was the best we have had at any venue, ever. The staff were friendly, accommodating and good.
Can't fault anything about it.
